End-World: After the Apocalypse

It has been a thousand years since the Apocalypse -- The total destruction of the world as we know it today.

Almost all of the planet's civilization has been destroyed. The last survivors have banded together to form a small set of crippled cities governed by the martial law of old. The human race itself has also changed. Over the centuries, mutation and disease have tainted its bloodline. Pure humans still exist, but what once were legends have become reality. Vampires, Werewolves, Orcs, Dwarves, Elves, Ghosts and any beast imaginable have not come into being and roam the planet with more power than ever seen before... men have now become gods.

Age/Audition Requirements :: 18+, but consideration can be made for extremely good writers who aren't quite there yet. ;) Requirements are a potential member follow the rules and requirements. Profiles are required and will need to be reviewed before play.

The Guidelines

• This is a Freeform RPG and hence its focus will be on role-play and character development.
• Battles will be allowed, but the winner will be determined by yourself and your opponent. Mods will not be involved.
• Your character must be 100% your own creation. This means no ripping other authors off! The character probably should be tormented or demented in some way because of the nature of the planet at this time. No true life prejudices, pedophilia, or hate of any kind towards members is permitted, but tasteful vices can be worked into characters easily.
• And finally, the game takes place 1,000 years POST-Apocalypse therefore everything will be completely made up. No one (but maybe shadow_shifter & oriath) is going to nit pick. So that's it, everything else is free reign for your dark imagination.
• Lastly, please join our OOC group endworldooc. This is where all our Out of Character planning and talk will take place so as to keep the game board free from clutter. Also, character bios will be posted there for review by the moderators. Thanks!!

Joining the Game
To join our little band of misfits, please create a character journal with the following information contained on the Personal Information page. Once that is done, you'll need to join the OOC group, endworldooc, and place your profile up there for review and discussion. Any variation of this profile can be accepted...

• Name: A pronunciation is also very helpful to some.
• Species: Angel; Demon; Vampire; Were-creature; Human; etc. Just about anything is possible.
• Class/Occupation: What type of class is this character or what job do they have? Warrior; Mage; etc.
• Gender: Male? Female? None?
• Age: Or what they normally appear to be in the case of otherworldly creatures.
• Birthplace: You're more than welcome to make up cities that we may use in the world. It would be a great help. :)
• Parentage: Please give your family. Not everyone can be orphaned at birth or young age. Please give good reasons for this.
• Father:
• Mother:
• Siblings:
• Character Description/Appearance: I know we have icons, but appearance can also be their demeanor and stance; movement; anything that pertains to the overall look. This should include your personality and strengths/weaknesses because they make up the whole character description.
• Identifying Marks: Marks that anyone who looks at your character can pick up with enough time or effort.
• Dress/Jewelry: How does the character dress? Do they have any jewelry we should know about? Magical rings or amulets?
• Abilities/Fighting Style: Seeing as this is a game using characters of a supernatural nature, what special abilities/powers do they have? What types of fighting do these characters use? Magical? Weapons? Elements? Fighting style is optional if you are not a warrior.
• Weapon(s): In a post-apoc world, most everyone has at least one weapon.
• Background: This should include your History and anything else not covered.

The mods have the authority to ask you to change certain aspects of your character to fit the game.
NOTE: If you absolutely DO NOT want to create a new journal, please be sure to have an appropriate icon for your character plus a page/entry with your character's profile.

A list of Character Specifics can be found HERE along with some helpful DEFINITIONS. This should be everything you need to get started, but please see a Mod if you need anything else at all. ^_^

OH! And be sure to update your interests when you open your journal. Use the interests from End-World as a starting point. This way we can spread the word about our group. I've found more groups through interest searches than anything else!

Rules ::

1. The moderators reserve the right to ask you to modify your post (if it doesn't fit the story) or to delete it outright. If you are posting inappropriately, you may be blocked from the game.
2. It is yet undecided if the game will be Post-by-Post or through the comments. This will depend on what the members feel like doing.
3. Slash/Het/Shipping is not the basis for the game, but I am not opposed to allowing members freedom in their writings. Here are a few points on sexual content: You can make your character gay, straight, or bi, but you cannot change the sexual orientation of another playing character without that writer's consent; ALL sexual scenes require an LJ cut that includes a warning ("This is NC-17", etc.); AND Please do not create non-playing characters just to have sex with - they must have other viable reasons for being there.
4. You must update on a character's major developments in your bio or mention it in a In Character post. If your character loses an arm, post about it. If they develop new powers, post about it (but no changing powers because you didn't like the old ones). Let us know what's going on so we can keep the story going. It is undecided if person journals will be used as logs for your posts or as actual journals. This, again, is at the whim of the players.
5. NO GODMODING unless you have discussed it with the character's writer before-hand. You can always mame or kill off your own character, but that would probably hinder your playing. :)
6. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES can you be all-powerful with no weaknesses. True, these are other-worldly creatures, but no one is Superman. Please act appropriately.

• Eve :: eveofwinter :: The Elemental Eve was born of the snow and ice of another plane of existance. She is not of End-World and seeks only to keep herself safe from harm as she rests on this plane.
